Dzeko 'focused on Wolfsburg'

Edin Dzeko says he is not thinking about securing a transfer away from Wolfsburg as speculation over his future starts once again. The Bosnia-Herzegovina international has established himself as one of the most prolific strikers in Europe in recent seasons and has been linked with several clubs.Juventus were persistent suitors of the 24-year-old last summer, while Manchester City are also rumoured to be admirers of Dzeko.A move failed to materialise during the close season after interested clubs did not meet a deadline to pay a release clause stipulated in his contract.Dzeko's form has not been affected by the rumours and he has scored seven goals in 11 Bundesliga appearances for Steve McClaren's side this season. And, amid fresh reports that City are planning a January bid, Dzeko stressed that he does not hold a grudge against Wolfsburg for denying him a summer transfer."I am not a guy to give people stress," Dzeko told Eurosport. "After the club made the decision (not to allow a move) I have been getting back to fully focusing on VfL Wolfsburg and the season ahead. I just wanted to score my goals."It is not that difficult to stay, you also need to show you are a strong character."At this point in time I feel no use in thinking about a transfer away from my club."
