Moyes looking to keep run going
David Moyes is demanding greater consistency from his Everton side despite being impressed by their recent form. Everton have overcome a dreadful start to the season which left them bottom of the Premier League after six games without a win.The Merseysiders are now unbeaten in six heading into tonight's home clash with Bolton - a sequence that has included wins over Liverpool, Birmingham and Stoke.Those results earned Moyes the manager of the month award for October and restored the stability that saw Everton lose just two of their final 24 games last season.Moyes said: "If you look at our record at the end of last season and how well we have done now - we didn't start the season quite so well but I think we are on maybe five or six defeats for the whole year, if you exclude the cups."So, overall we have had a pretty good period but we need to keep that going."To win a league you need to do that throughout the season, not a bit one year and a bit another year - that is no good."Hopefully we can try and get on a run now. We are on a bit of a run but we want it to be better."Moyes' manager of the month accolade was his third of 2010 but the Scot feels everyone at Goodison Park deserves credit.He said: "It was a reward for the players and staff."The way we started the season was not the way expected, we were all disappointed."The expectations we had set - and suddenly it sort of drained away."It was great how the players got themselves back together, we steadied things and got a few wins. We had a pretty good month."Everton tonight host a Bolton side enjoying a fine start to the campaign having shown signs of considerable improvement since avoiding relegation last season.Manager Owen Coyle has instilled new belief since taking charge in January and the Trotters travel to Goodison on the back of an impressive 4-2 defeat of Tottenham.Moyes said: "The squad hasn't changed that much but I think there has been a development."Owen has done a great job. After rescuing Bolton a bit and making sure they stayed in the division, he has got them at the right end of the league."Midfielder Marouane Fellaini is in contention to return for Everton after missing four games with a hamstring injury.Jack Rodwell, coming back from a serious ankle problem, is again likely to be on the bench after two games as an unused substitute.
