I've changed my ways - Cattermole

Sunderland midfielder Lee Cattermole believes he has changed as a player following his two sendings off this season. The Black Cats captain was shown the red card against Birmingham on the opening day of the campaign and also against Wigan back in September. He will have to keep his cool this weekend in a much-anticipated Tyne-Wear derby with Newcastle, as the local rivals lock horns at St James' Park.Cattermole admits he was devastated after picking up his second red card in the Premier League, and says he had to change his ways."I knew I had to change because it was killing me, not playing football. The manager didn't say anything because he knew I was hurting inside," he said."Every time there was a day off, I was training with the reserves. "After that second sending off I was devastated. I didn't do anything. I just stayed at home, kept my head down and tried to stay focused"Since my bans this season I've barely committed any fouls. I'm not counting but it's certainly not many. I'm working on it."Cattermole is eagerly anticipating the game against Newcastle on Sunday, and thinks his side will fare well.He added: "I played for Boro in a few derbies against Sunderland but they say that is nothing like this. "As long as we can stay calm and play like we have been, I think we'll be okay."
