Simpson slams Pesch

Macclesfield manager Gary Simpson was scathing about remarks made by his opposite number Paul Peschisolido following the Silkmen's 2-1 win over Burton. Speaking after the game, Peschisolido said his side had struggled against Macclesfield because they "hump it forward 50 yards and try to feed off scraps". "I'm delighted that Paul Peschisolido thinks we just hoof the ball forward," said Simpson. "As far as I remember the rules of the game say you score at one end and try to stop the ball going in the net at the other end and what you do in between doesn't really matter. "Teams like Crewe have the calibre of player that get the ball on the ground and pass it around but I've got to work with what I've got to work with. "Quite frankly there are two ways to skin a cat."
