Robins open-minded over Hume future

Barnsley manager Mark Robins is keeping "all options open" with regards striker Iain Hume's current loan move to Preston. The Canada international this week made no secret of his desire to turn a three-month stay at Deepdale into a permanent deal but, despite drafting in Paul Hayes on loan from Preston, Robins is not yet ready to sell Hume. Robins said: "It's been a complicated deal with Paul and Iain Hume this week. There's been plenty of things involved and plenty of options put to us. "Iain's arrangement has not changed and he will stay at Preston for the remainder of his loan. There are plenty of options available for us and we will look at all of those carefully." Robins added: "I'm very pleased to have brought Paul Hayes. He's someone I tried to get in the summer but missed out on because Preston made him an offer he could not refuse. "Such is football, we have brought him into the club now. He is someone with plenty of experience and he scores goals as he showed against us last season."
