Bryson enjoying new style

Kilmarnock skipper Craig Bryson is looking for the Ayrshire side to turn pretty football into points sooner rather later. The Rugby Park club have won plaudits this season for their performances under Mixu Paatelainen who took over as boss in the summer. However, after eight games they find themselves with just seven points, two above bottom side St Mirren.Bryson, looking forward to the visit of Inverness, insists that everything is enjoyable at Rugby Park this season apart from the points tally"We are playing a totally different formation," the midfielder said."I don't think a lot of the boys have played it before."We are trying to pass from the back instead of playing the long ball and everyone wants to get on the ball."I think the fans are enjoying it a lot more and I think the players are as well,"It's good to watch but we are not getting the results just now because of sloppy goals and it kills you a bit."We have given away sloppy goals but that's up to us to cut it out and hopefully we can do that in the coming weeks and build on that."We have been playing well in every game apart from the first half against Hamilton."We are scoring quite a few so if we keep it tight at the back then we will be okay."Bryson insists Terry Butcher's Caley side, who have moved almost unnoticed into fourth place in the table, can provide inspiration for Killie."It gives us hope," he said."We knew when they came up from the First Division that they were a good team."They are a big strong team who work hard and they can cause teams in this league - a lot of problems - and the results have shown that."Our performances have maybe matched a team in fourth place but we just haven't got the results."Killie boss Paatelainen is also an admirer of the Highlanders. He said: "I am delighted for big Terry and Maurice Malpas, they work very hard with a limited budget."But they have plenty spirit and hence they have carved out results."They are ready to fight for every ball and they have plenty of work rate and endeavour and that's why they are where they are in the table."
