Bale packed off on short break

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has told Gareth Bale to take a beach holiday and come back prepared for Manchester United and Inter Milan. The Wales winger has been catapulted onto the world stage following his sensational hat-trick in the San Siro against Inter last week.The Spurs chief has given the 21-year-old special treatment with a four-day holiday with a Premier League clash at Old Trafford coming up on Saturday before Inter visit to White Hart Lane in the Champions League the following Tuesday.Redknapp said: "It will be good to give Gareth a couple of days extra off."I think the kid needs it. I think he's probably going to go away for three or four days and we'll get him in Thursday morning and it'll do him the world of good."He's tired. The kid runs miles every game. He has unbelievable stats."He takes some beating most days. He runs long distances."He needs a few days now. He had two tough games with Wales and some tough games with us. "He's such a nice lad. I walked off the plane and said, 'I bet you never dreamt of scoring a hat-trick at the San Siro'. What a thing for the rest of your life."He does run, he gallops up and down, he's got everything, really."
