Bullard injury blow for Tigers

Hull City manager Nigel Pearson has confirmed that Tigers midfielder Jimmy Bullard will remain sidelined for a further three weeks. The Tigers boss revealed the midfielder suffered the set-back in a training session during the latest international break.Although the manager played down the injury by revealing it was a meniscal tear, it is expected that the 31-year-old will miss the next four Championship matches. The former Wigan and Fulham star hasn't featured for City since the goalless draw against Coventry on October 2nd after suffering an injury to his left knee.Bullard is now expected to miss the games against Barnsley, Scunthorpe, Leeds and Preston for the club, who are currently sitting just three places above above the drop zone.Pearson told the club's official website: "Jimmy has suffered a meniscal injury to his left knee which will keep him out of action for an estimated three weeks."It is important to stress that this is not the knee that he has had surgery on previously."Scans have shown that he may not need an operation, and as such, it is expected that he will resume training shortly."
