Pompey poised to bring in Halford

Championship outfit Portsmouth are poised to sign Wolves defender Greg Halford on loan this week. Portsmouth have agreed a loan deal with Wolves for Halford, but the deal was held up as the club wait for the green light from their adminstrators.Pompey boss Steve Cotterill was hoping to have Halford in for the weekend win over Watford, but is hopeful it will get done this week."Something should have happened with Greg Halford on Friday, but to my annoyance it didn't," Cotterill told The News."I'm not saying anything else on it."He was in and he trained with us on Friday."I can hope that something may happen this week."It was all ready to go on Friday and hopefully it still will go. I hope."
