Coleman hails 'motivator' Holloway

Everton's Seamus Coleman has thanked Blackpool chief Ian Holloway for helping to nurture him into a Premier League footballer. The 22-year-old has been a revelation for the Toffees this season, becoming an integral part of David Moyes' plans. He starred in Sunday's 2-0 victory over Liverpool in the Merseyside derby and is tipped to have a bright future at Goodison Park.Coleman, who was snapped up by the Toffees for just £60,000 from Sligo Rovers in January 2009, has undoubtedly benefited from plying his trade at a club with a history of giving young talent an opportunity to shine. He has, however, also progressed at pace since taking in a loan spell at Blackpool last season, under the careful guidance of the ebullient Holloway. He helped the Seasiders to secure promotion into the Premier League and has hailed the time he spent at Bloomfield Road for helping to make him the player he is today."Ian Holloway has really helped me and my career," said Coleman."I learned a lot from him, he's a good motivator, and I have to thank him for giving me an opportunity to play."I got experience and am looking forward to kicking on from here."
