Allardyce welcomes Dunn return

lackburn manager Sam Allardyce is hoping returning midfielder David Dunn can provide the spark to help kick-start Rovers' season. The influential midfielder has been restricted to just 43 minutes of football this term after struggling with a series of niggling knocks. He is, however, back in the frame for Monday's home date with Sunderland and will be expected to provide creativity in the middle of the park.Allardyce believes the one-cap England international is capable of inspiring Rovers to bigger and better things, having shone for the club in 2009/10.He certainly hopes that Dunn can make a major impression upon his return to the side, as Blackburn are currently languishing just two points above the drop zone.Allardyce said: "We know how important he is to the team, certainly last season. He was our best creator and our best goalscorer."Now we're hoping he can put together a run of games."For us all, he's one of our most talented players, one of our biggest creators in the final third."He's been missed. If we'd had him in more of the games, we might have picked up more points and be in the top half."
