Carlo keen to avoid Rooney questions

Carlo Ancelotti will not discuss any interest Chelsea may have in Wayne Rooney, even though Roman Abramovich is reportedly keen on the striker. Ancelotti expects to continue fielding questions regarding the Manchester United striker, but would rather stay out of the debate.Rooney could be sold by United as early as January after Sir Alex Ferguson revealed on Tuesday that the England international has confirmed he wants to quit Old Trafford. With the 24-year-old's contract expiring at the end of next season, United are expected to cash in as soon as possible in order to obtain the highest possible fee.Chelsea have been heavily linked with a bid for Rooney and are likely to be one of just two Premier League clubs able to afford the former Everton youngster.Reports have claimed that Blues owner Roman Abramovich is ready to give the green light to a big offer for United's star man. But, speaking after the Champions League win over Spartak Moscow, Ancelotti again stressed he does not want to talk about players at other clubs."I think that I have to answer this question for a lot of time in the future," said the Chelsea boss. "I want to be clear, I don't like that some coaches speak about my players and I don't want to do the same. "I have respect for Manchester United and Sir Alex Ferguson, it is their problem and I don't want to speak about this."
