Improvement pleases Dickov

Oldham`s second-half display during the goalless home draw against Colchester pleased boss Paul Dickov. The Latics dominated but could not find a way past goalkeeper Ben Williams. They could have taken the three points their performance deserved had Dean Kelly`s goal been allowed to stand. "I`ve seen the goal and it wasn`t offside," said Dickov, who was pleased with how his team improved. He added: "I was disappointed in the first half but I got a reaction after half-time. We were excellent and created chances and just needed some luck to go our way. "I was disappointed with us in the first half because we had told the players about the importance of getting stuck in and imposing themselves on the game. "Our attitude and some of our football was excellent, but don`t take anything away from Colchester because they are a good team who have only had one defeat all season. If we keep doing the things we showed in the second half we are going to be all right."
