Butcher pleased with point

Manager Terry Butcher was pleased with a point after a lacklustre first-half performance from his Inverness side against St Johnstone almost put him to sleep. His honest post-match assessment of the 1-1 draw at Tulloch Caledonian Stadium may have been a view shared by many of the home fans, who perhaps expected more as Inverness hunted for their third win in a row. "We're absolutely delighted with a point," said Butcher, whose side secured the draw thanks to Jonny Hayes' second-half equaliser after Collin Samuel's early opener. "We had two teams out there - one in the first half and one in the second. "We are on a three-match unbeaten run, picking up seven out of the nine points and sitting in the top six and people are saying 'why are you moaning? Why aren't you happy?' "But you saw the first half - you probably fell asleep in the first half. I nearly did. For heaven's sake that was awful, it was pants, complete rubbish, but we were much better in the second half."
