Sky Blues loanee suffers injury blow

Coventry will be without Danny Ward for around a month after the on-loan youngster returned to Bolton to undergo a hernia operation. The 19-year-old arrived at the Ricoh Arena last month on a deal until January and has made four Championship starts and one substitute appearance so far.But his time at the club had already been interrupted by a calf problem before Aidy Boothroyd on Thursday afternoon revealed the latest setback for the talented youngster."Danny has had to go back to Bolton, he's got a hernia," said the Sky Blues boss."I've spoken to Owen (Coyle, Bolton boss) and he's gone back up there, he's going to have his operation and hopefully we'll get him back as soon as. I don't know how long he's going to take, it depends on the surgeon he sees, so we'll have to wait and see. A month hopefully."Meanwhile, Marlon King remains a big doubt for Saturday's trip to Ipswich with the striker due to have a fitness test on his dead leg on Friday, although Boothroyd fears the game may come too soon for him.
