Loan Ranger: Tottenham's Kyle Walker joined QPR last monthQPR manager Neil Warnock wants to keep versatile Tottenham defender Kyle Walker beyond his current month-long loan deal. The 20-year-old made the move from north to west London last month as cover for first choice right-back Bradley Orr who was sidelined with a calf injury. And former Sheffield United boss Warnock has been so impressed by Walker - also a former Blade - that he wants to keep him at Loftus Road for a longer period, despite Orr's imminent return to full-fitness.'Kyle's a great player who can play at left-back, or in Shaun Derry's position, or at centre-back, so he's got a few strings to his bow,' said Warnock. 'It would be nice to have him on board.'Walker, too, is likely to be keen on extending his stay due to the limited chance of first-team football at White Hart Lane. Vedran Corluka and Alan Hutton are already fighting it out for the right-back slot at Tottenham, while left-back is equally competitive with Beniot Assou-Ekotto, Gareth Bale and even William Gallas ahead of Walker in the pecking order. The Tottenham defender was on the bench on Tuesday as England Under 21s secured passage to next summer's European Championships in Denmark, with a goalless draw in Romania.
