Rovers wait on Nielsen injury

Tranmere boss Les Parry will assess Gunnar Nielsen's fitness before deciding whether to extend Peter Gulacsi's loan deal. Gulacsi joined Rovers three weeks ago after Nielsen, on loan from Manchester City, sustained an injury while on international duty with the Faroe Islands. The Hungarian goalkeeper's loan spell at Prenton Park from Liverpool ends after this weekend's home game with Brentford, and Parry told Tranmere Player: "I've already enquired with Liverpool about extending Peter's loan."Before I do that I've got to get a definitive answer from Manchester City with regard to how long Gunnar is going to be out."If he's close to coming back, we're contracted to keep Gunnar until Christmas so we'll be doing that and Peter will be going back."Meanwhile, rookie midfielder Joss Labadie faces a lay-off of several weeks after sustaining ankle ligament damage.
