Extra training for Peterborough

Peterborough manager Gary Johnson revealed his players would be back in for extra training on Sunday after seeing them go down 2-0 at Hartlepool. Peter Hartley and Gary Liddle netted the goals as Pools saw off a visiting side who were down to 10 men for the closing stages following the dismissal of Lee Tomlin for his lunge on Leon McSweeney, while Pools midfielder Andy Monkhouse hit a post after just nine minutes with a clever stooping header. Johnson said: "We start planning for next time out, we are in Sunday morning to work at it. I won't let them go home and feel defeat is normal. We will work hard and get a performance to get back into the top two or three. "If I leave it and go into that game there may not be a difference, but but making them think about it should see a response." Johnson added he was considering bringing in some new faces on loan. He said: "We've players to come back from injury which could boost us and a bit of freshness may change our state. I'm doom and gloom, but I know with a strong, hard week we can turn it around. We will look at the loan market for a boost if needed."
