Tykes boosted by Hume comeback

Strike partner Kayode Odejayi fired his fifth goal in as many games to secure Barnsley a 1-0 win, but his scoring exploits were overshadowed by the return to action of Canada international Hume, sidelined since being elbowed in the head by Sheffield United skipper Chris Morgan last season. Barnsley manager Simon Davey said: "The big plus point from our point of view was seeing Iain Hume out on the pitch again for the first time in a very long time." Davey added: "It was a good game and I thought Gainsborough came back into it in the second half. We controlled the first and could have had a couple more goals. "It was a good work out. We won the game, picked up another clean sheet and it has given us something more to build on."
