Portsmouth ace Aaron Mokoena has revealed that he has agreed a new contract with the club and will put pen to paper on the deal next week. The South Africa skipper agreed terms before departing for their African Cup of Nations qualifier with Sierra Leone. The versatile Mokoena is now set to put pen-to-paper upon his return to England next week. "I had a meeting with the chief executive on Friday night and everything is agreed now," Mokoena confirmed to The News."I just have to sign the contract now."Unfortunately, I am away on international duty but I will sign it when I come back."It's a big relief. I have wanted to focus on my football and commit myself to this club and contribute."I have got absolutely no doubts about signing this contract. I just want to be here at this club."Meanwhile, Mokoena has revealed he was lucky not to be red-carded along with Middlesbrough's Barry Robson at the weekend. The Scottish midfielder was sent off for striking Mokoena, but he revealed that he elbowed Robson first."I elbowed him and he chinned me," said Mokoena."Unfortunately for him, the linesman only saw the time he punched me so it was a penalty."I think I got him in the neck or something but then he punched me. It was clear and the linesman saw it."The ball got cleared out and I did him as we were walking out of the box.'"It was just frustration on my side. I wasn't trying to hurt him."Luckily for us, the linesman couldn't see me giving him an elbow."I'm not proud of that. That's not my game. That's not me and it's not part of the game."But I'm an honest person. That's how it happened and I have to tell it as it is."
