Fans cast their votes on Liverpool FC October Debt Day scenarios

WITH the ongoing saga of Liverpool's ownership crisis about to reach another critical stage - the club's American owners' debts are due to be either paid back or refinanced this month - we have been asking Reds fans their views on how they think October 2010 will pan out (click here to vote).Over 2,000 votes have been polled so far and the results make interesting reading. To the first question, "What do you want to happen to Liverpool FC's debt?", unsurprisingly over 65% of fans polled are hoping that a new buyer for the club is found, despite no concrete bids having materialised so far.Just under a quarter of those who voted want Royal Bank of Scotland to call in the debt and in effect take ownership of the club from the Americans while, amongst the other options, more fans would actually prefer to see the club go into administration (5.0%) than see Tom Hicks retain control, either by finding a refinancing package or by paying off the debt himself.
