Pavlyuchenko enjoying Spurs life

Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko has revealed he is now enjoying life at White Hart Lane despite a difficult start to his Spurs career. The 28-year-old Russia international moved to the north London club in September 2008 but found himself fourth in the pecking order for a place up front behind Jermain Defoe, Robbie Keane and Peter Crouch.Pavlyuchenko has now become a fans' favourite at Tottenham and while he admits it was difficult to settle, says he is now happy at the club."The fact that I didn't play for almost six months wasn't pleasant. But when you have a chance to prove yourself you must do it," he told Sky Sports News."You just have to wait for your moment and score goals. If I scored every time I would be in the team all the time, no doubts."I hope this year it won't be the same story. To be honest, in the last year when I didn't play much I had thoughts about returning to Russia."Now I do not want to move back."Pavlyuchenko has hit four goals in 10 games for Spurs so far this season and reveals that he is repaying the fans who kept believing in him.On the support of the Tottenham fans, he added: "Indeed it is very helpful. All the time when I come out on the pitch I have thoughts to pay back the fans by scoring a goal."Tottenham fans are something special to me. I really fell in love with them and probably will always love them."I'm very thankful to them and will respond to this with more goals and good play."
