Riise expects Fulham move

Norway midfielder Bjorn Helge Riise is confident he will successfully complete his medical at Fulham ahead of joining the Premier League club. Craven Cottage officials have confirmed the 26-year-old Lillestrom star is in West London to undergo physical assessments as boss Roy Hodgson looks to tweak his squad. The Cottagers are preparing for the Europa League and Riise, the younger brother of Roma's former Liverpool player John Arne, has been identified as an ideal recruit.Riise has completed the initial stages of his medical and he expects to make a move to England in the near future once fitness tests are finished. "It will be a wonderful feeling to put my name on the contract. This is what I have worked for," he told rb.no. "I have finished the most important tests on my knees, ankles and legs. On Wednesday I will go through a fitness test. But it is not something I am worried about."This is a correct step for me. I look forward to seeing the team in qualifying for the Europa League."Riise, though, has remained tight-lipped regarding the type of contract on offer, adding when asked about his pay: "I do not wish to comment, but I am happy with it."
