Miller plans to be ever present

Kenny Miller has told Rangers boss Walter Smith he wants to play in every game despite facing one of his most gruelling months of the season. The striker has been on top form in the SPL, netting 10 goals in six games to earn him a second player of the month award already this term. The 30-year-old has also been tasked with the lone striker role in the Champions League games, having helped earn four points against Manchester United and Bursaspor before facing Valencia in a few weeks. On top of his club duties, Miller could also be asked to perform a similar job for Scotland in the forthcoming Euro 2012 qualifiers against Czech Republic and Spain. However, he claims he is relishing every match and pointed out he is not the only player facing physical demands over the coming weeks. He said: "I want to play in every game. I got a rest last week against Dunfermline and I was disappointed not to be playing in the game."This week has been tough, not just for me, for all the lads."You play on Sunday, then you have a Champions League game on Wednesday with all the effort and energy you have to put into that to get a result, and then you are away again on Saturday."It's been a really demanding week and training has been pretty low key because of the games."As long as we go to Hearts and get the three points, it will be the end of a really good week."Miller put his impressive goalscoring form down to the fact he has stepped out of Kris Boyd's shadow and has taken on a different role alongside new strike partner Nikica Jelavic. He said: "It's been good that we've been winning games and I've been fortunate enough to get most of the goals."It's always pleasing when you get an award."It's a different kind of partnership now. Kris Boyd is a fantastic goalscorer and I felt we formed a good partnership."Part of my role was maybe taking up the wider positions and Kris was the one in the positions that I'm finding myself in at the moment."I can't put my finger on anything I've changed, it's maybe just that it's a different partnership and I've taken on a different kind of role."Next up for Rangers is a visit to Hearts and Miller insists keeping the momentum going is crucial for the Scottish champions. He said: "Celtic have got off to a great start as well. They have won six, we have won six, and it's important we do maintain that."We want to win every game. It's been a great start, even when you look at the European campaign as well."To get a point at Old Trafford was fantastic, and we had a really good win on Wednesday night."Everything is going well and I feel the performances have been picking up. We are definitely getting better."
