Rochdale boss Keith Hill was adamant his side ran out deserved winners following their 3-0 win over Huddersfield at Spotland.
An early goal from Jason Kennedy and late strikes Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro and Chris O'Grady were enough to sink the Terriers.
Hill said: "They had a lot of pressure in the second half, but where did it really go?
"I suppose I could sound like every opposing manager and suggest Rochdale shouldn't have won the game - but I thought we did deserve the win.
"We started at a tempo we knew we couldn't sustain, but we wanted to take the game to them. They are an excellent side and we had to create a tempo that was unrealistic in terms of maintaining it throughout the match.
"We know they would have a lot of possession in the second half, but with the players we had on the bench, we felt confident we could bring them on and score again."
