Yeovil manager Terry Skiverton admitted he was "disgusted" with some of his players and called for them to make amends for their poor recent performances.
Exeter replicated the 3-1 Johnstone's Paint Trophy scoreline they recorded over Yeovil at the end of August, courtesy this time of a Richard Logan brace and a Ryan Harley effort.
"We started okay," said Skiverton. "Deano (Dean Bowditch) had the chance with a one-on-one with the keeper but didn't take it.
"At the other end it seemed we were wide open at times. Every week I seem to be taking responsibility for a heavy defeat but I am not going to stick up for the players.
"We are working hard as a management team and the players really have to stand up. At the moment they are not doing that. We are conceding too many goals. As a centre-half myself I was disgusted with a couple of them. They have got to pull their fingers out now."
