Henry happy with Wolves goal threat

Karl Henry believes Wolves must learn to score from nowhere if they are to continue their improvement in the Premier League this season. Henry is confident the concerns of last season, when Wolves struggled to score goals, are now a thing of the past but he also knows Mick McCarthy's side have to close out contests when in the ascendancy.Wolves have led at Fulham and Tottenham in their last two Premier League games only to end up losing both games.Ahead of Sunday's derby against Aston Villa, Henry said: "You need to be able to create goals from nowhere and I think we've got that in the team."We've got goals now in the team. It is a nice feeling to have."You need to have knowledge that you can go and get goals when you are having a bad game or not having the best of times."It is important. You look at Stoke and, for 85 minutes, they seem to be getting dominated and they still seem to go on and win games."I think we've added that quality now. Steven Fletcher and Sylvan Ebanks-Blake has been on fire so far this season while Kevin Doyle was fantastic for us last season."Fletcher has already got off to a flying start since coming from Burnley and banged in a few goals."But Henry admitted: "We've got to learn from the two defeats we've had on the road."To go 1-0 up at Fulham and Tottenham is difficult enough. We've done it two weeks on the bounce and lost both games."We've got to learn something from that and maybe, if we are having a bad patch in the game, we've got to stick with it and stay in the game."If we come away with a 1-1 draw after leading, it might be disappointing, but we've got a point."Henry is aware Villa will be desperate to impress new manager Gerard Houllier in his first league match in charge. He said: "It's the same every time a new gaffer comes in. Everyone steps their game up and it will be a clean slate for them."They will all be wanting to get in the team or stay in the team so they will be bang on their game. They are going to be flying and wanting to impress the manager and we want to get back to winning ways. It makes for a great game."Henry is quick to deflect suggestions that Wolves are closing the gap on Villa, who have been the Midlands' most successful team in recent decades. He said: "We have definitely grown as a club and that is all you can ask."When we start competing with Villa for places and finishing in similar positions, maybe then we can start talking about comparing us to then."But for now we are growing as a club."
