The former Northern Ireland international, who is back on trial with his former club, climbed off the bench in the second half and made his mark with a neat finish from Matty Pattison's pass.
"I'm fairly happy with the performance, the fitness levels and the result," said Canaries boss Bryan Gunn.
"We've come out with a couple of bumps but that's to be expected.
"Another positive aspect was a clean sheet. Lots of positives and not too many negatives - all in all a good night's work."
Serbian trialist Goran Maric started the game and former Leeds and
Sunderland striker Michael Bridges got a run-out after the interval.
