Hartley ruled out with hamstring strain

Aberdeen will be without captain Paul Hartley for up to three weeks after the midfielder sustained a hamstring injury on Wednesday evening. The Dons skipper was substituted 15 minutes from time in the 3-2 Co-operative Insurance Cup third-round win over Raith at Pittodrie and will now miss Sunday's SPL clash with Rangers and the October 2 fixture at Inverness.A statement on the club's official website read: "The hamstring injury sustained by Dons skipper Paul Hartley in last night's Co-operative Insurance Cup victory against Raith Rovers is not as bad as first feared."Paul went for a scan this morning and looks set to be sidelined for around two to three weeks."Unfortunately, this does mean Paul is likely to miss this weekend's clash against league leaders Rangers at Pittodrie."
