Johnson secures new Dons contract

The 24-year-old looked set to leave the club this summer after his contract expired but following the return of manager Paul Ince the American has decided to stay.Chairman Pete Winkelman said: "Nothing is ever simple in football and it has taken some time to arrange, but we're delighted to have JJ back on board."He showed at times last season that he is capable of producing fantastic performances and, now that his future has been decided, I think we can look forward to seeing him produce those on a regular basis."His explosive qualities make him the kind of player that excites a crowd and I know the fans will be as pleased as I am about his return."
