Cotterill expects upturn in fortunes

Portsmouth manager Steve Cotterill has vowed to guide the struggling club off the foot of the Championship table. Pompey have taken just two points from their first seven games this season, but Cotterill has seen a vast improvement in their performances and is confident their results will soon improve."The league is very much in its infancy," said the Fratton Park boss. "There's a lot of football to be played."I think the teams down the bottom will not be down there come the end of the season, and might not be down there come Christmas."The league table is going to change a lot and if we carry on the performances we have dished up in the last week, and be a little bit tougher in certain areas, our position will change as well."
