Hart frustrated by Hibs' home woes

Michael Hart has assured the Hibernian fans that the players share their frustration at a winless home run which now stands at nine games. Hibs were held to a 1-1 draw in Saturday's clash with Hamilton, again conceding the early lead and jeered off the pitch for a second successive week after failing to end an Easter Road barren streak which dates back to March 6."I don't know about the fans, but I think the players are more desperate than them to get a home win," said Hart."We want to play good football and win, but it's getting to the point where we just need to get any sort of win."We'll just keep playing football and hopefully the result will come."Derek Riordan netted a ninth-minute opener, hit the bar with a free-kick soon afterwards and Colin Nish had a second-half effort ruled out for offside after Marco Paixao had netted a 22nd-minute equaliser, leaving Hibs without a win since the 3-2 opening day victory at Motherwell.Hart, who joined this summer after leaving Preston, added: "It's frustrating that we're getting a lead and throwing it away."We need to learn to take our chances when they come and at the other end we need to try and shut up shop."Had Riordan's 25-yard free-kick after 12 minutes bounced in off the bar, rather than a yard in front of the line, or Nish's effort - a strike Hibs manager John Hughes insisted should not have been disallowed - stood, three points would have been secure."You've got to make your own luck," said Hart."We're in a position because of the way we're playing and we're the only ones that can get ourselves out of it."It's frustrating every game when you don't come away with the three points against teams everybody expects to beat."On our game we're brilliant, passing the ball, no team can get near us."But we can do that for nine times out of 10 passes and the 10th one will be horrific and a team will come through and score against us."We're frustrating ourselves and it's showing through the fans."Hibs travel to Kilmarnock in the Co-operative Insurance Cup third round on Wednesday with Hart and his team-mates desperate for success ahead of next Saturday's league trip to Celtic."We've just got to go and play the way we can play and we'll beat anyone," said the 30-year-old."We probably need to play a little bit more sensibly and try to grind a result out."The main thing is that we're in the hat come the next round of the cup."
