Scott Sinclair and substitute Stephen Dobbie scored late goals as Swansea edged out Scunthorpe 2-0 at the Liberty Stadium.
Sinclair broke the deadlock in the 83rd minute and Dobbie added a second two minutes later to give the hosts their fourth successive home win.
Genuine chances were few but the visitors threatened on the stroke of half-time when Jonathan Forte drilled a left-footed shot wide from 12 yards out.
Swansea made the breakthrough thanks to Sinclair, who connected with a cross from substitute David Cotterill and fired home right-footed from six yards.
And Dobbie made sure of victory with five minutes remaining when he collected a pass from Mark Gower and drilled the ball into the bottom corner from 12 yards out.
