Brentford midfielder David Hunt is set for a spell on the sidelines after a scan confirmed he has suffered torn ankle ligaments.
Hunt missed his side's draw at Bristol Rovers and could be ruled out for more than a month.
Another Griffin Park player in the wars is Pim Balkestein, who will play for the next month in a protective face mask.
The Dutch defender broke his nose against Rovers and underwent an operation on Tuesday.
"I can't really remember what happened, there were a lot of high ball coming at us but I don't think the guy did it on purpose," Balkestein told the Hounslow Chronicle.
"I have to wear a mask when I play now - it looks a bit rough so maybe opposition strikers will be worried."
