Anfield new boy Raul Meireles claims: Liverpool supporters rule!

Raul Meireles insists Liverpool fans are the best in the Barclays Premier League and cannot wait to make his debut at Anfield. Meireles made his first appearance for Roy Hodgson's side at Birmingham City last weekend following his move from Porto.But the midfielder is looking forward to playing in front of the Kop despite having bad memories of his first visit to Merseyside back three years ago.  Debut: Raul Meireles tangles with Birmingham City's Scott Dann at St Andrew'sHe said: 'I played at Anfield with Porto and I lost 4-1 - but I remember the supporters were great. Everybody in Portugal says the Liverpool fans are the best supporters in England.'I have also played at Chelsea and Manchester United, but I can say the Liverpool fans are the best. Of course, I am excited about playing at Anfield as a Liverpool player.'I feel very good (to have played at Birmingham), but I was not happy at the end because it wasn't a victory.
