Modric set to sit out Euro clash
uka Modric is extremely doubtful for Tottenham's Champions League Group A opener at Werder Bremen on Tuesday night. Croatia midfielder Modric was forced from the field in Saturday's Barclays Premier League game at West Brom and although an x-ray confirmed he had escaped serious injury, he is unlikely to start at the Weserstadion.Captain Ledley King returns after being rested at the weekend, while goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini will continue to deputise for Heurelho Gomes (groin).
