Iwelumo worry for Clarets
urnley boss Brian Laws will assess the fitness of striker Chris Iwelumo ahead of the trip to Middlesbrough on Tuesday night. The summer signing from Wolves scored a hat-trick in Saturday's thrilling 4-3 win over Preston following a hamstring injury which ruled him out of international duty with Scotland last week.However, Iwelumo has not yet fully recovered and said: "I tried a light session on Thursday and I was aware of it all the time."Friday it was a bit more free but even when I woke up on the morning of the game I was aware of it."Should Iwelumo be ruled out, Jay Rodriguez could earn a starting role after he came off the bench to score the winner on Saturday.Defender Tyrone Mears is available after suspension but midfielder Chris McCann remains a long-term absentee with a knee injury.
