Everton boss David Moyes reveals anguish over Jack Rodwell's injury

Out for three months: Jack Rodwell Everton boss David Moyes has revealed he only thought Jack Rodwell would be out of action for a week, before receiving the news that ankle ligament damage would rule him out for three months.Sportsmail revealed earlier this week that Rodwell faces his time out after being injured in a challenge with Aston Villa defender Stephen Warnock two weeks ago.A disappointed Moyes admitted: 'I thought when he went over it was atwisted ankle and he'd maybe be out for a week, if at all. But he gotscanned and we knew there was a problem.'They think it doesn't need surgery but unfortunately he is going to be out for two to three months.'We were worried it was going to be a similar injury to Marouane Fellaini's but, thank goodness, it wasn't that bad.'The news also comes as a blow to England manager Fabio Capello, who was considering calling upthe 19-year-old ahead of next month's European qualifier againstMontenegro.Rodwell, who was attracting interest from Manchester United, signed a new five year contract over the summer.
