Argentina striker Carlos Tevez claims he may retire from international football

The Manchester City forward, a goalscorer in Argentina's 4-1 victory against world champions Spain in Buenos Aires on Tuesday, revealed last season that he was considering retiring from international football following the World Cup. But after abandoning those plans, the 26 year-old now admits that he is struggling to motivate himself to play for Argentina.  Related ArticlesArgentina 4 Spain 1Fabregas: Spain didn't deserve to lose 4-1Zidane's son may opt for Spain'Maradona keen on Villa job'Maradona's reign ends in 'betrayal'Sport on televisionTevez said: "Every day, I feel further away from the national team and I don't know if I'll go to the 2014 World Cup. "I'm tired. Tired of always being here, of fighting to be in the team. There comes a time when your body starts to drag you down. "The physical side doesn't help. I'm not here so I can get kicked and have to get up and continue for 90 minutes. "I am at a club in which I have not won a lot and we have not won anything, but even when I was winning everything and I was a big player, I still had to fight with the national team. 'Today I have to keep on fighting and it gives me cause to stop and think about not playing (for Argentina) anymore. "It's something I think about and I will do it one day, but it is easier to say it than to do it. 'I don't know if I have the balls to do it. I won't lie. I'm here more for the people and my family than for me."
