Webster At His Best

Burton Albion manager Paul Peschisolido has heaped praise on rejuvenated full-back Aaron Webster. The long-serving Brewer, was on the verge of leaving the Pirelli Stadium over the summer when the club stalled on offering him a new contract. However, having impressed during pre-season the 29-year-old was handed a new one-year contract and has gone on to star for the Brewers in their solid start to the campaign, scoring twice in their opening five league games. Brewers boss Paul peschisolido even believes that Webster is currently playing the best football of his career. "He has really grasped the opportunity, to be fair to him, but it was a tough call to make for me in the first place. I just felt that he needed a little kick up the backside because he has been at the club for a long time and was guaranteed a contract every year and sometimes that brings a bit of complacency into your game. "I told him that he wasn't getting a new contract and that he had to earn it, and to be fair to the boy, he has worked hard all summer. "He is probably in the best condition that he has ever been in and he is reaping the benefits for it. "He has got a lot of good attributes, though, with his technical ability and he is always a danger from set-pieces with his size, plus he can play in numerous positions. "I'm really pleased that he has bucked up his ideas and he is looking a real threat in this division now."
