Shrewsbury will stash away Hart windfall

Graham Turner, the Shrewsbury Town manager, does not intend to touch the £500,000 his club received when Joe Hart made his competitive England debut on Friday night. Hart, 23, started his career at the Shrews - playing for them 53 times - before moving to Manchester City in 2006. Part of that deal included the payment if he played a competitive game for his country. Shrewsbury are top of League Two after the opening five games of the season, and as a result Turner is not drawing up immediate plans to strengthen. "That money coming in will be set aside for the needs if ever they arise," he told BBC Radio Shropshire. "Having been a chairman myself, I know how difficult it is to run a club at this level and keep it in the black. I've continued the habit of not spending money I don't feel is necessary to spend. "If there's some good young players out there we feel could be an investment, the chairman, I have no doubts will back us with the finances to buy those players."
