Sevilla have called for patience in their pursuit of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Didier Zokora.
But with Spurs asking for at least £8million for the Ivory Coast international, the Spanish club have already lined up other candidates.
Zokora, 28, is still their No 1 target, but Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido says he has to complete the sales of a number of players before strengthening the squad.
'We have a lot of money in the four or five players for whom we are trying to find a transfer,' he said. 'Everyone just has to stay calm.'
If Spurs don't budge on the price, Sevilla are also looking at 22-year-old Argentine Hernan Bernardello of Newell's Old Boys and Malaga's 25-year-old midfielder Apono.
Sevilla are also ready to rival Manchester City for Espanyol's Spain Under 21 defender Sergio Sanchez, who could be available for about £3.5m.
