Rangers recruit Smith and Hulse

Championship leaders QPR have bolstered their attack by signing Tommy Smith from Portsmouth and Rob Hulse from Derby County. Winger Smith, 30, passed a medical at Loftus Road on Tuesday and signed a three-year deal for a fee believed to be around £1.5million.Rangers boss Neil Warnock has been desperate to add to his attacking options to boost his side's promotion bid and moved for Smith after failing to land Jon Walters.Hulse, also 30, has put pen to paper on a three-year contract after the R's and the Rams agreed an undisclosed fee.Derby have decided to cash in on Hulse with his contract due to expire at the end of this season.Both deadline-day moves are subject to approval from the Football League.
