England Under-21 boss Stuart Pearce hailed goal hero Jack Rodwell's majestic, no-nonsense performance against Germany as one 'beyond his years'. But has the 18-year-old star one enough to keep his place in the team for the forthcoming semi-final? Here are ten things you need to know about the Everton teenager. 1. In 2007 he became the youngest player to play in Europe against AZ Alkmaar at just 16 years and 284 days old. 2. His first Premier League appearance was against Sunderland in March 2008 when he came on as a substitute in the 87th minute. 3. Rodwell scored his first senior goal in the 3-1 FA Cup fifth round win against Aston Villa in 2009. 4. He once paid a cab driver so that he could follow him when he got lost on his way to training even though he had a sat-nav in the car. 5. He is the nephew of former Blackpool winger Tony Rodwell. 6. Jack Rodwell has been dating 16-year-old Hollyoaks actor Melissa Reeves, who is also the reigning Miss Teen Cheshire (below). 7. At 14, Rodwell was playing for Everton's Under-18s and a year later made his reserve debut as a substitute against Sheffield United. 8.
