Kenny Miller considering second contract offer from Rangers

Paying his way: Miller scored a hat-trick as Rangers beat Hibs 3-0 at Easter Road last weekendRangers chief executive Martin Bain has made Kenny Miller a second new contract offer. The 30-year-old striker's current deal is due to expire next summer and he has turned down an extension which would have seen his basic wage cut. However, Bain believes he has now come up with a deal good enough to keep Miller, who is reportedly being tracked by Newcastle. 'I've offered Kenny an extension to his contract,' Bain said. 'The dealings I've had with him and his agent over the last week to 10 days have been great. 'It's now up to Kenny. The offer is there and we'd like him to extend his contract. 'He was made an original offer which he rejected and I understood his rationale for doing so. 'Since then we have continued to talk and I have made him a second offer.' Hibernian 0 Rangers 3: Second-half Miller treble puts red-hot Gers on a rollSign up to our FREE Fantasy Football game - with £40,000 in prize money up for grabsRangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor set to land five-year deal at Ibrox Rangers defender David Weir ready to answer Craig Levein's Scotland SOSRangers manager Smith laments Laffery indiscipline after sending off RANGERS FC
