Slade saddened by cup defeat

Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade was left disappointed after the Os were brushed aside by Barclays Premier League side West Brom in their second round Carling Cup tie. Ibanez Pablo headed the opener for the Baggies after half an hour and substitute Chris Wood sealed a 2-0 win in injury time. Slade believes the gulf in class was one step too far for his side. "I am a little bit disappointed because we are better than that," he said. "I made a few changes and it is not always easy to perform up to the level you require. "We probably created two or three openings, but against a Premier League team that was not enough."
