David Moyes, the Everton manager, will be hoping his side can improve on last season when the north Londoners managed to take four points from their games against the Merseysiders.

Everton's first away game of the new season will be a short trip up the East Lancs road where Moyes will, no doubt, come up against a new-look Manchester City side following a summer of transfer action at the City of Manchester Stadium.
Supporters can expect plenty of fireworks in Nov when they have back-to-back clashes with champions Manchester United at Old Trafford and then host rivals Liverpool a week later on Nov 28.
It has been two years since the blue half of Merseyside were able to celebrate a league win over bitter rivals Liverpool on their home ground and they will be looking for a repeat of their FA Cup triumph over Rafael Benitez's side.
Everton will open the new year with a trip to London on Jan 9 when they play Arsenal, however, it is February that will concern Moyes most.
After the short trip across Stanley Park to Anfield on Feb 6 when they play Liverpool, Everton will then host Chelsea and United in what could prove a crucial moth - both for them and, potentially, in the overall Premier league title race.
Portsmouth will visit Goodison Park on the last day of the season on May 9.
