Accrington manager John Coleman is waiting on the fitness of Craig
Lindfield ahead of the visit of Newcastle.
The striker has been suffering from a recurring knee injury and missed
Saturday's victory over Macclesfield.
The 21-year-old failed a fitness test prior to the clash but Stanley
will take another look ahead of the tie with the Magpies.
Rory Boulding is likely to continue in attack after recovering from an
Achilles problem sustained on the opening day of the season.
Leam Richardson will be pressing for a start after penning new terms at
the club following a long injury lay-off.
Coleman's team opened up their scoring account in the league in the
defeat of the Silkmen, with Sean McConville bagging a hat-trick in a 3-0
triumph at the Crown Ground.
Newcastle boss Chris Hughton is likely to field several of his
youngsters.
Spanish striker Xisco has been added to the casualty list with a slight
groin strain which could also keep him out of Saturday's Barclays
Premier League trip to Wolves while midfielder Danny Guthrie is yet to
recover from his knee problem.
Tim Krul is likely to start in goal while Haris Vuckic, Ryan Donaldson,
Kazenga LuaLua, James Tavernier, Shane Ferguson and Tamas Kadar could
all be involved.
Sol Campbell is still working his way towards match fitness while Danny
Simpson and Leon Best (both ankle), Steven Taylor (shoulder) and Dan
Gosling (knee) remain on the sidelines.
