'Everyone wants to play in the Champions League. On a Tuesday night you don't want to be at home watching EastEnders. You want to be at the Lane.'Defoe admitted he was confused as to why Spurs started so badly last week in Switzerland. 'We weren't overawed,' he said. 'Before the game everyone was buzzing. 'Not many of the boys have played in the Champions League before but I don't want to use the plastic pitch as an excuse. 'Young Boys played well, but to get two away goals in the end was good for us. 'This will be one of the biggest games of my career and for the club in general. 'We put so much work into getting into the top four.'Manager Harry Redknapp is set to have several players available including Defoe, Robbie Keane and Roman Pavlyuchenko but Luka Modric is out. Redknapp said: 'We're pretty much okay, a few who weren't fit on Saturday have trained. Modric is not fit but the other lads came out and trained this morning and are okay. 'Luka is a fantastic player but we coped when he was out before for a long period and we coped at Stoke without him. We have other good players. 'It's a big game but there have been a lot of big games over the years. 'But we are at home and we are a fantastic team when we play well at home. If we play as we can play we are going to be very difficult to beat. 'I wouldn't say we're favourites. If we can't win tomorrow we don't deserve to be in the competition. We have got to win, a draw's no good. If we play as we can play it will be very, very difficult not to win.'
