O'Hara must go under the knife

Tottenham have confirmed that midfielder Jamie O'Hara will undergo an operation on his back this week. O'Hara suffered a stress fracture last season and has been under the care of a specialist this summer. Two independent specialists have now been consulted following a further scan and it has been decided that he should have surgery.Spurs have given no indication of how long O'Hara will be out for, but he will hope to have Champions League football to look forward to on his return.Tottenham must overturn a 3-2 deficit at White Hart Lane on Wednesday night if they are to progress past Young Boys and make it through to the group phase of Europe's premier competition. There is a minimum £10million at stake in one of the most important games in the club's recent history, but the players are staying calm, according to in-form wide man Gareth Bale."I don't think we feel pressure," the Welshman told the club's official website."We know we're good enough and, if we play to the capability we know we can play, we can beat most teams."Bale scored both goals in a 2-1 Premier League victory away to Stoke on Saturday and feels Spurs can build on such a performance. He said: "It was massively important to get the win at Stoke, confidence is up now and hopefully we'll get the job done on Wednesday night."
